"I have not ssspoken with the Generrral today, sirrr, but yesssterrrday, he
wasss fine.  He mentioned he would be coming to sssee you sssometime
today.  Asss the holodeck idea wasss Commanderrr Arrress', I will let herrr
explain that."  Tr'Lawsh nodded to Daphne with a significant look, giving
her the chance to shine in front of her superior officer.

"Well, sir, there are two options that we could use," said the human who had settled into a more relaxed stance since the Admiral's comment about it.  "First, we could use it to allow the felinoids to experience a feeling of home.  The hope of this approach would be to observe them in their native 'habitat' in the hopes of learning more about them.  The problem would be that we would be treating sentient beings as zoo animals.  There probably would violations of inalienable rights with that approach."

(Admiral?)

"The other approach would be to use the deck to allow our people to interact with the felinids in a number of different settings, hopefully building up a feeling of trust.  That could lead their willingness to work and talk more with us."

(Admiral?)
