The computer came back with a short answer- maybe. The parts could definately be used to refit the missing ships, but a good deal of the components were not compatible with the missing ships. It would be like putting brakes for a Cooper Mini on a Ford F-350 pickup. The ships that gone missing were of newer classes like the Intrepid Class (aka Voyager) and the Burke Class (ooc: something I made up) -frigates, and the parts were for ships like the Galaxy 2 class and Excelssior 2 class- cruisers.
Maybe the smaller ships were being stolen for parts after all. Communication systems, computer systems, life support - those were all fairly utilitarian and necessary on any ship. Perhaps that was a dead end. She tabled it, but didn't discard it. She wanted to look more deeply at Admiral Garibaldi's record, but he most likely had a heads-up monitor - she did after all, and she had little to hide.
She couldn't go any further with what she was doing, so she contacted t'llhweiir. She needed to talk with her and Lasiter. "Admirrral Kitanya to Admirrral t'llhweiirrr."
