She then took a second stairway up to the uppermost level, where doors led to
two master suites.  She passed the first, closed doorway and entered the next,
which revealed a very tastefully decorated bedroom with a stunning view of the
ocean.  Its large bathing chambers could be seen through another door off to
the left.

She indicated a table where fruits and other light foods had been
placed.  "Just in case you wanted a little something to fortify yourself.  Nothing alcoholic, I'm afraid," she finished lightly.

His grin was lopsided.  "Wouldn't want to chance taking this step with a compromised intellect," he agreed.  There will be plenty of time for imbibing *after* she can no longer change her mind.

She walked to the bed and lifted up a maile lei.  "For the groom.  I
figured it would go with any color you wore."
 
He smiled warmly.  "Thank you. It is perfect.  As is everything. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all that you have done for us, this day, and all the others."

Downstairs at the transporter console, a signal came through.  A cloistered monastary in Ireland was calling.  Father Patrick Francis O'Malley was requesting transport.
