Roach stood where a palm tree obscured him from view from the house. He
was too busy, though, fine-tuning the audio and video pickups to notice any
activity nearby. He tuned out the sounds of the ocean, which were too loud to
his ears. Fortunately, his equipment had no such problems. And it was
feeding
the recording directly to his editor's office.
He saw the Romulan man kiss t'Llhweiir and step back.
"Awwww...." he muttered sarcastically.
In his mind's eye, though, he saw himself accepting the Pulitzer for
photojournalism. Let his colleague call him "The Roach" then!!
As the Roach was deep in thought the trio of security officers approached.
They were following the tricorder readings, and their phasers were drawn. Lt.
Phillips was a smart one, and approached with a plan. He and one approached
from one the direction of the house, while the other went around to prevent an
escape.
The sound of leaves russeling snapped the Roach out of his brief thoughts on
the Pulitzer. Then he heard the voice of Lt. Phillips saying, "It's coming
from over there."
