Geb bowed his head. "From my limited experience, Earth is definitely
unique," replied the Brikarian before turning to look at Joanna. "Where are you from originally?" "I am a bit of a Fleet brat," replied the Counselor. "Both of my parents were Starfleet officers, so I grew up on my share of starships." "It would seem that fate had a hand in your also being in Starfleet," replied the Brikarian. "Were they also in the medical fields?" Joanna paused for a moment as she considered her own past. It was not that she did not remember, but the questions brought back memories of some tough times for her. "My mother was in the medical field. She really wanted me to follow in her footsteps." Audra studied Joanna. She had never seen the woman react this way. The Counselor was fairly new to the station, but the two women had quickly become friends. Audra knew of no reason that the woman might be taken aback by a discussion about her parents. (anyone?)
