Just then the waitress walked up. "Hi, y'all, What kin I get y'all for dinner?"

Joanna looked back to the new arrivals to see if they were ready to order.

Audra decided to jump in and order first. "I will have a grilled chicken salad with oil and vinegar and a glass of water."

Geb studied the waitress for a moment. She seemed to fit right into the "Texas longhorn" feel of the restaurant. She was dressed in jeans, a shirt and a bolo tie that went perfectly with her cowboy boots and hat. It was a little bizarre seeing her in the outfit, though, since she was an Andorian. Her little, blue antennae snuck through small holes cut in the brim of the hat.

"I will have a rack of ribs, diced potatoes, and a beer. Draft, please," he ordered before looking over to Joanna.

Joanna smiled as she watched Geb looking at the waitress. It was an odd combination, but she had gotten used to those sorts of blends of race and culture a long time ago. When growing up on a starship, there was so much exposure to cultural exchange.

Now that it was her turn to order, Joanna added, " I would like an Alice Springs Chicken with a backed potatoe and an iced tea. Could I have a sprig of mint with the iced tea?"

(response?)
