>Sharez sneered at the interruption.

>"I apologize."

>"I am sure that you face a number of important events over each day, I
>would have thought that this committee hearing would have taken priority
>over most things," said the Andorian with his annoyance >in clear evidence.

>"I meant no offense. As was stated and agreed to on both sides, this is a
>critical time. We are receiving several important visitors on Spacedock and
>I was just being notified of their arrival as well as another mission to
>recover a person critical to the investigation of the recent Admiralty
>attacks."

>Sensing the disdain from the Chair, the Rigellan joined him, "Perhaps I
>missed something, Admiral, but what does that have to do with your role in
>R&D?"

>"R&D specifically, nothing." Dammit, he thought, didn't they remember their
>discussion on him balancing all of his responsibilities--a 5 second
>discussion shouldn't do this...Lorin was getting tired of this. He didn't
>let it show on his face though

>"Good then the notification that you just received will have no further
bearing on these proceedings.", >he answered.

"This is correct."
"As you can imagine, time is precious to everyone here, Admiral.  If we can stay focused on the work, we can get this over with as quickly as possible."  The Andorian picked up his PADD to check where they were in the conversation and looked to the stenographer.  "Could you please read back the last series of comments before the interruption.

The Denobulan woman nodded and read back the comments before the Chair continued.  "Admrial Renaud, have you spoken with the head of Starfleet Medical about your plans for his personnel?"

(Admiral?)
