Ambassador Aria chimed in again. "Admiral, you are discussing plans for
another flag officer's department with us before discussing them with him?"
"These are merely proposals Ambassador. I am merely sharing ideas on my
restructuring for the department."
"I see. So, if we accept the proposal, and Admiral Brennan does not?"
Sharez's antennae pulled forward. It was evident that he was looking
forward to hearing the response from the Admiral on this.
Aria interrupted before Renaud could reply. "Admiral, I understand and
appreciate your efforts. You have given us much to think about. Might I
suggest that you pursue this matter within Star Fleet's structure before
bringing it to us for consideration?"
It was as gentle an admonishment had ever been delivered in those chambers.
She looked him in the eyes and nodded slightly.
"Yes, Ambassador. In regards to that I have approached Engineering Chief
Shevab about allowing some of higher level staff to assist on some of the
less or non-classified Research. He is open to the idea as Spacedock has
recently reached 98% efficiency in operations."
T'Sar was impressed at the response the Admiral had pulled from Ambassador
Aria. It showed that he was getting more comfortable. "Admiral, I was
wondering if you could run through the major projects that have been
assigned to your department and let us know where they stand at this time."
