It was not so much that he was surprised by having his own desk. It
wasgoing to happen at some point. He had just not really thought that much
about it. He was going to have his own space. It gave hime a sense of
pride. For that reason, he was silent for a moment as he took a seat and
rested his hands on his new desk before looking back to Neera. "Will I
have a partner?"
"I would say yes. Most of us work in teams of at least two. I have not
heard who or how many other officers will be working on your team. We will
have to wait to speak with Commander K'Tael about that when he returns. He
is due back today, from what I understand."
"I will look forward to meeting him. Is there any sort of schedule or
docket that we should check to see what I should be doing before he
arrives?"
The Bolian woman nodded. "If you will come this way, I will show you the
assignment board. The duty officer always posts who will be doing what. It
will give you and idea of who you will be working with and it in what part
of the station for your shift. If something comes up during the shift, you
might be moved, but it is meant for general patrol purposes. It has become
quite important, particularly since the bombing that occurred aboard the
station recently."

see, you have been assigned to work near Primary Sickbay. You will be
working with Ensign Torgath.
