A smile filled out Torgath's face, further increasing the similarity
between him and a leprechaun.  "You must be Ensign Briknor.  I must
admit that I have never met someone from your race.  You are a bit
larger than I had expected."

The Brikarian smiled for the first time since coming aboar the station.
"I tend to be a bit larger than most people suspect.  I hope you
don't mind my asking, but what is the name of your people?  I don't
think I have met anyone from your homeworld before."

"We are the Weefaie.  Our homeworld is Eiralunde."

"Are your people members of the Federation?"

The initial response was a nod.  "We have been for some time, but most
people do not know of us.  Our homeworld is small and in an remote area
of the Quadrant.  How about your people?"

"My people have not always had amicable ties to the Federation, but
things have improved with time.  After war about a generation ago, we
have recently become members."

Torgath smiled.  "That might explain why there are so few Brikarians in the fleet. He glanced around the room.  "Have you met everyone here.  These folks are regulars on the Alpha shift so you will probably be working with them for a while."

"That is true. How long have you been aboard the station?"
