David visibly seemed to rise to that statement--he needed the positive
reinforcement, "Well than here's the rest of the security complement." He
looked at Jackson, "Sir, is Commander Kirk joining us?"
Jared could
see that David gained confidence in the conversation. "She is.
She should be along any minute."
"All right." He wondered if she
would even talk to him after the previous
occurrance...he doubted he'd get
any alone time with her on this mission.
Joanna made her way to the
docking area with a duffle bag of clothes hung
over one of her
shoulders. She saw David and the Admiral standing there
waiting.
"My apologies, gentlemen, but I had to arrange coverage for my
patients as
well as preparing for the trip."
"No problem, Counselor. I am just
glad that you were able to rearrange your schedule so you could join us,"
replied the senior officer.
(David?)
"Hello, David."
(response?)
Jared could sense that there was something between them, but was not sure
what it was. He could only hope that it would not interfere with
things.
