"Joanna." He gave her a meek smile but his heart leapt when he saw
her.
Jared could sense that there was something between them, but was not sure what it was. He could only hope that it would not interfere with things. Joanna could sense that he felt a bit of relief. She was not sure if he thought it was just from seeing her or the fact that she was not put off by what happened earlier. She glanced back and forth between the two men. "Well, we can launch whenever you two are ready." "Let's go...sooner we get there the sooner we get home." "Is there any sort of prep I should do to get ready for this?" she asked. "Make me invulnerable?" He said half-joking. Joanna smiled. She could not help it. "If I could do that, I could make sure this mission went a lot smoother. Unfortunately, I left my superhero costume at home. I didn't realize I was going to need it." Jared was surprised at the interplay between David and his Counselor. It was clear that there was more than the treatment relationship there. He wondered how far that relationship had developed. "I don't think that we are going to need Wonder Woman along for the ride, though, it might be helpful for you to provide us with how people are feeling as we question them." (folks?)
