"If I may, Admirals, the Intell briefing typically lasts an hour or so. There is time in your schedule for a brief session, about 30 minutes, before Col. Stark and Col. Markham call in for their reports.", Abrams said finishing by looking at Van Der Loo. After a ever so brief pause he turned to Jackson, "In the meantime, sir, you and your team could get settled in. Perhaps I could brief you on the situation, and perhaps even set up some interview times with other personnel..."

Abrams impressed Jared. It was not every officer willing to jump between two fighting Admirals. "That would be wonderful, Mr. Abrams." He emphasized how pleased he was with the offer.

"Very well then... Until then, Admiral.", Van Der Loo said before turning to leave. On his way out he gave Abrams a dirty look.

David, still standing a bit anxiously, began to relax with the departure of Van Der Loo. While not easy for him, it was now over, and that brought a measure of comfort.

"Admiral Jackson, where would you like to start a briefing or getting quarters on the station?", Abrams asked as calmly as he had spoken before.

"We should probably arrange for quarters, first. Then we can spend whatever time we need working without distraction" He glanced to make sure that was ok with the rest of the team.

David nodded a quick response.

Joanna took in the situation and could not help but wonder what it was about men. They did not have to be Klingon males to get into such disagreements. All races seemed to have males that were like this. She knew that Admiral Jackson had wanted to make things difficult, but he could be taking things a bit too far. Fortunately, Abrams was showing a little bit of level-headedness. "That would be fine, sir."

(response?)
