(OOC: Apparently, I was really confused when I sent out the response to  this
post because the Admiral's comments were supposed to be before Abrams'
return.  Let's play on as is.)

A moment later Abrams returned,  "Admiral, I have been able to secure
quarters for each member of your  party.  Including your security  detail.  I
have also reserved one  of the observation lounges for  the duration of your
stay.  If you will  leave your bags here,  security will get them to your
quarters.  I will  take you to the  observation lounge for your briefing."

Jared  nodded.  "That is  a very diplomatic way of putting it, Counselor."
He
turned to David to  see how he was doing.

David's forehead was spotted a bit with sweat, but  he was holding up quite
well considering it was his first interaction  with Van Der Loo.

The Admiral continued.  "The good Admiral  is exhibiting the same sort  of
argumentative nature I experienced when  I spoke with him yesterday.  The
question is going to be how much  of that is his personality and how much is

defensiveness about  something that has gone terribly wrong out here."

Abrams answered,  "Admiral Van Der Loo is, by his very nature, not a warm
person.  He makes  it hard to like him....  If you will follow me please..."

Jared  nodded his head and fell in behind the junior officer.

LCDR Abrams led  the group out of the docking area to the residential portion
of the  station.  Their quarters were together in the same corridor, with the
security detail occupying the outer most quarters.  {OOC: the team lives in
the middle and the security detail lives on either side.}  Standard SF
quarters, nothing special.

The conference room was located on the next  hall, and had a view of the
stars.

Jared made his way over to the view.  It was one that he missed.   Before
heading to Spacedock and San Francisco, he had been assigned to a space  station.
He was used to having views like this all the time.  He  turned back to the
rest of his group and awaited for the briefing to  begin.

(folks?)

Once everyone was settled...  "I don't wish to repeat myself and waste your time, sir.  Where do you want me to begin?"

"How about we start with what happened on  ?? (forgot the name of the planet?)."

(Abrams?)
