server said as she turned to depart.
When the door closed, Matt continued.
"It's the idea of the CinC, you see. We are going to a conference.
However, that is not our true goal. We are to determine just who is
abducting Starfleet Officers. In this game of cat and mouse, we are
the cheese."
Bedru was silent for several seconds while she obviously gathered
herself. She
finally asked, quietly as if it was the most she force out, "Do you know why I
was selected for this assignment?"
