Lucien's smile brightened.  "Of course, Gabriel.  You would be welcome
for as long as you need."

"Somehow, I think you just want to have me around so you can keep an
eye on me.  I think you need to be worried about the rest of the clan.
I am just a scientist.  The rest of your children are in Security,
Special Ops, and Intelligence."

His maman eyeed Gabe.  "I did not realize that it was a crime for a
mother to want her children close enough to see them.  I understand
that you all have careers that keep you far away, but since you are so
close now...."

Ariel smiled.  It was going to be tough for Gabe to get out of this
one.  "Now, you've done it little brother.  You are gonna make her cry."

"Oh, Maman," said Daphne as she rested a hand on her mother's shoulder,
playing up the scene.  "I am sure that he will make time to visit even
if he isn't willing to live with you and Papa."

Gabe's eyes tightened as he sneered at his sister.  He had no desire to
get into a fight with her or anyone else about where he is going to
live.  "To be honest, it is pretty futile until I know exactly where I
am going to be assigned.  I don't even know if my being on the station
is a temporary thing so it might mean just getting quarters on the
station until I head back to Io."

His mother smiled.  "I was just kidding.  With all of my children in Starfleet, I know the demands that service requires.  I just want you to realize that it would be nice of you to visit.  This type of lunch is a wonderful way to do that."

Just then, the waitress arrived with the bill.  Lucien pressed his thumb into the PADD to register his ID.  "How soon before all of you are back on shift.

Daphne and Ariel both looked at each other.  "To be honest, Papa, both of us are here during our lunch break."

(Celine/Gabe?)
