About 20 minutes, later the Ares clan was settled in at the
restaurant. They had taken over a large round table set in the corner
for larger parties. Each person was chattering with someone else.
Gabe sat back in his chair and looked over his family as they ate. It
was nice to be home again.
Ariel turned to Gabe. "So what brought you to Spacedock. I thought you
were working on research near Jupiter?"
Gabe glanced toward Ariel. It was not a subject he hed really wanted
to get into, particularly with their mother there, but he had no
choice. He was hoping that he could gloss over his abduction. "While
I was stationed on Io, I was caught up in a situation that our
superiors thought I would be able to help."

"Well, there was a woman found in cryo that is from a race that the
Federation has not had contact with in some time. Considering my
background in zenobiology, they thought I could help."
