I think there's one big difference:
Oracle XE only lets you handle 1 database,
whereas PostgreSQL will almost certainly be larger -
if spacewalk-postgres would be working, I'd have used my local one that hosts several database used in daily work.

So I'd vote against stopping PostgreSQL.
