Scoring a valid spam indicator is fine, assuming it's a characteristic that's been noted in spam. I understand that the "stock" rules go through some rather extensive testing, and that the default scores are identified based on this. So I'm not so worried about SA per se.
I worry more about the glee with which implementing rules and measures to harass, annoy or otherwise attempt to modify the behavior of others who use Microsoft products is undertaken under the guise of stopping spam.
