As for this not being directly related to SpamAssassin, I apologize. I asked a friend in the know where to go for an answer to this question and he pointed me here. He was right. If it is any consolation, I am a dedicated SA user on my personal server and our list management product (Lyris) uses SA as a tool for helping us understand the "spaminess" of our correspondence.
