I'd say the top money making business plans for spam are: 1. PORN: move as many credit card paying people through the sites as you spam, move the sites around (RBL of the sites is irrelevant, spam is sent from elsewhere,) change hosting company often, change mail servers often. Does make money. There are spam friendly hosters. 2. HOW-TO: dupe idiots into "email marketing", sell them lists, software and seminars, don't take complaints, move around a lot, poses as "legit permission marketing". Makes money. 3. NEWBIE: start up business, no clue, maybe buys from #2, go for it, don't last long, go back to traditional marketing, doesn't make any money... 4. PRE-PAID: buy lots of pre-paid internet accounts, use PC software to relay and chickenbone, get paid by someone from #1, #2 or #3. Often know as black hats, makes money. That's 3 from 4 that make money, and in some cases, the spammers are rolling around town in a Porche or Ferrari, and own a $1M home. [Porn is the biggest money maker, by far.] [And I can add another 5 to the list given time, including stock fraud, advance fee scams and unsolicited goods.] --- Terence C.
