Porn is, in and of itself, legal. And it can be - and is - advertised and sold by folks who don't spam, too. Porn does not need spam to survive. I'm not sure whether the porn industry is starting to discourage spamming - I'd have to go visit some porn "webmaster program" sites and read AUP's. > 2. Borderline illegal/fraudulent. As someone noted, Virginia went after these guys. From a legal and regulatory standpoint, they're probably the main target, since they're the ones who are defrauding people. > 3. These guys don't worry me too much, since in the process, they usually get enough of a school-of-hard-knocks education that they become outspoken opponents of spam. Unfortunately, the education often includes damage to their public image to a degree that'll take a long time to overcome. > 4. Harder targets than #2, I'd imagine - they're over the line legally speaking, and have good reason to hide. Definitely targets for lawyers, though. -Dan -- Available for Biz, Pics, Tech and Words - http://danbirchall.com/ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - M Gandhi _______________________________________________ spamcon-general mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.spamcon.org/mailman/listinfo/spamcon-general#subscribers Subscribe, unsubscribe, etc: Use the URL above or send "help" in body of message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Contact administrator: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
