Dear John,

Since your house is listed in a public directory (www.myhouse.com) and you
advertise that everybody can visit you and wander around inside your house,
but you don't inform them about what they can do and cannot do, it's your
responsability to control the children playground.

If some visitors to your house leave their addresses (because you left a
room opnened, in which they could enter and post messages in a wall) and
these addresses are taken by others to send publicity to the first, you had
to:

1- Say the Room Visitors that to leave a message there could bring them
problems.
2- Or, protect the real address encryting it (Otherwise, no one would visit
your room).

Cheers!

This sounds an awful lot like arguing that it's OK for people to come
into your house and wander around if you don't lock and bolt your
doors. If the visitors don't think they're causing trouble, what
right do you have to disagree?

And of course this begs the more important issues of the costs to the
recipients of handling spam, and the costs to all of us of making
e-mail unusable.
