I found that the Proteomics Browser suite only works activeperl 5.8.6 (I don't have the version in front of me, but I think that is it.)
I installed TPP 1 revision back and it seemed to work. Then I tried to transfer TPP to the D drive and had some difficulties which I believe were unrelated. I uninstalled and put it back on the C: drive to try to see if I could get TPP running from the normal drive. The Proteomics Browser Suite uses IIS for their web server, and TPP has to use Apache. I installed both and set the port for Apache to a port different from 80 (8888) so that they won't conflict. Anyways, my problem now is that when I run SEQUEST through TPP I get a sequest27.exe error after each Mzxml file finishes running. It looks like sequest27.exe is crashing. I'm not really sure how to fix this. I know I have a licensed copy of SEQUEST because I can run it through the Proteomics Browser Suite. I think the problem has something to do with TPP trying to run SEQUEST and IIS is blocking it. But the problem could be related to previous installs of TPP not being fully removed, changing the port on apache, something from when I tried to put TPP on the D drive, the version of activeperl, or something I haven't even considered. If anyone has any advice as to why I am getting the sequest27.exe error or how to fix it, please let me know.
