Thanks Luis and Natalie-

The reason I can't use newer versions of TPP appears to be that my
version of XRawfile2.dll is too old. Are there any other files that
TPP requires from Sequest/XCalibur/Bioworks browser in order to do a
Sequest search in the TPP? It appears that TPP is looking for newer
versions of these files than we have, but if I know what to look for
maybe I can track them down somewhere.

We have XCalibur v1.3 and Bioworks Browser v3.0. At one point I
installed TPP V3.5 (search my name in this forum to see that
discussion) and I was unable to convert .RAW files to .mzxml files. I
would get the following readout:

     Settings:
       centroid scans: 0
       compress scans: 0
       verbose mode: 1
       mzML mode: 0
       mzXML mode: 1
       input filename: d:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ISB\data\Kristian\2008RAW-
ICAT_1\49_1.RAW
       output filename: d:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ISB\data\Kristian\2008RAW-
ICAT_1\49_1.mzXML

Unable to initialize Xcalibur 2.0 interface; falling back to 1.4
interface
Unable to initialize XCalibur 1.4 interface; check installation
hint: try running the command "regsvr32 C:\<path_to_Xcalibur_dll>
\XRawfile2.dll"
unable to interface with Thermo library

I've also been unable to use various tools developed by the MacCoss
group at UW (Hardklor, MakeMS2, etc.) and the errors always seem to
come down to an old XRawfile2.dll file that is no longer supported.
I'm in the process of trying to get an updated version of Sequest,
which will hopefully contain the newer .dll files that I need.
