The test I am doing is with CFINDEXing a 19 row query. It takes 1 second
on my NT4 box, 4 seconds on a Win2k box with identical hardware (don't
know why this is so much slower but that's another story I guess) and 285
and 193 seconds on two other machines. The test code creates a new
collection so there is no chance the slowness would be caused by
non-optimizedness. (I can't test anything right now - I have to rely on
what ppl 100miles from me tell me. :)
