The only time I have seen this is when the password to the User
Directory database has changed and not been updated in the odbc
connection to it through the cold fusion administrator.

We just went live last week with
a Spectra implementation for the
American Petroleum Institute at
http://www.api.org.
Unfortunately, this morning both
the SiteMinder services have stopped
responding to requests and we can't
get either of them started. We have
bumped the box a few times to no avail.
If I try to start one service, say the
SiteMinder Authorization Service, it
will turn off SiteMinder Authentication,
and vice versa.
Anyone seen this before. We changed no
code nor did we do ANYTHING to this machine.
The services simply stopped working.
