I have used this script on Spectrum versions 8.0 and 8.1, and I guess it
will still be here on 9.0...

You could either have a look on the Aprisma FTP site, if it's available,
or ask the support.

Let me know...

How interesting.... the only files of note that were installed when we
had CA Professional Services install our Spectrum environment were
startSS.pl, stopSS.pl, cmdC and launchinstdbapp (and this was coming
more from the Spectrum installation itself putting these files there).
What version of Spectrum are you running? This script might be added
with Spectrum 9.0 whereas it wouldn't be there for older versions of
Spectrum.

This script is part of the Spectrum package.

Is $SPECROOT/bin/addSpecUser a CA-issued script or a custom script? I
just checked our Spectrum installation and I don't see this
script/binary in the Spectrum installation at all....

Hi,

I think you should better use $SPECROOT/bin/addSpecUser, cause I am not
sure that you will be able to set/define the password using the CLI.

If you have a chance to try please let us know.

Best regards,

Gregory

You can do it with the vnmsh scripting language. You'll have to figure
out all the Left-Side/Right-Side relations for a useraccount, but it is
possible to add users via CLI using this method.

Basically you make a shell script that takes arguments (such as username
and password) and runs it through the scripting interface to completely
create the user model.

Hi,

Is it possible to add users to Spectrum (MLS) from the commandline (or
via modellinggateway)?

Regards,

Frank
