Well, optimally it wouldn't have a small but a large (I mean diameter) 
head. Washers are always good, so if it doesn't have some it should 
benefit. If it's too tight, some weaker springs could help. Though, 
they shouldn't be too week or else they could break. I once 
experienced that with pretty weak ones. Next time I'm gonna order some 
in the middle. Oh, and spring ends should of course be ground.
