Hi Maybe a good new for you: One problem people can face with USB when surfing actively ( lot of datas ) is the "powering" of the USB. The first led flashing red is a known symptom of a lack of power. A known problem is happening with some VIA motherboard, which are not completely according to USB specs. A bios patch is available on via web site. But that doesn't seem to be your problem because you got a PCI additional card. So the second solution is to use an external 4-ports usb device with power supply. It costs around 250 FF here (less or more 4O $ US).
