It started segfaulting. Since I normally build the kernel updates using make oldconfig, I'm pretty sure that the kernel config was as close as possible between versions. I tried it with 2.4.10, 11, and 12. Then I switched to Benoit's drivers. That also cleared up some kernel hangs that I was experiencing.
