Interesting. I also gave up with the kernel mode driver because I kept getting kernel oops's after 2 or 3 days. When it worked it was great but I got fed up with having to reboot the box. I've been running the usermode stuff for a month now and I have not had one issue with it. Anyway, thanks to everyone both kernel and user mode who have worked to get the Alcatel ADSL modem running under Linux. It is much appreciated. I'm running RedHat 7.2 (with rebuilt 2.4.9-13 to include the n_hdlc patch) and Benoit's rc1 release on a (non-SMP) single Celeron 500 with Intel USB (uhci) and connecting to Demon Internet in the UK (via BT).
