hi gilles, yes, the driver version is 3 (301.0.0.12, alcan5wn.sys, verified now on the machine itself) and the modem isn't connected during the install process itself. when prompted i connect the modem and the registering follows with no further comments. i had in mind there was something to confirm and at least one reboot during normal install process, bu this doesn't happen.
one strange thing is that when looking into the registry after a full uninstall, there still remains this (and other) entry: HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Enum/ALCACR/000E500F3A98/ i am able to delete all, but never that one. once "installed", the modem responds as not present (error 651), which is the same when not plugged to the pc at all. the only difference is visible in the diagonstics-tool. when to modem is plugged in i do habe regional parameters visible (VPI, VCI, etc), if it is not, those values are empty. andr� Gilles Espinasse wrote: >Selon "Andre M.
