Hello everybody.Sorry for my bad english and any missunderstanding.(iam a newbie in the world of linux)
I use slackware 10.1.I have compiled the 2.6.11.7 kernel with all the options and directions for the alcatell speedtouch usb(the green one) as given from here : http://linux-usb.sourceforge.net/SpeedTouch/slack/index.html . So everything is ok except that i can't get connected.When i run /usr/sbin/pppd call speedtch i take that message: Plugin pppoatm.so loaded pppoatm plugin-init pppoatm setdevname-pppoatm-success:8.35 FATAL:Module pppoatm not found. using interface pppo connect:PPP0<- ->8.35 LCP:time out sending config-Requests Connection Terminated FATAL : Module pppoatm not found connect(8.35):Address already in use I can find out where the problem is.(probable due to my lack of experience :P ) . In the how-to for slackware says that i mv whole /etc/ppp to /etc/ppp.orig , don't i need the other files inside?
