Hello Santi please have a look at http://www.linux-usb.org/SpeedTouch/suse/index.html.. Very good site too in addition to the on e I've sent you of speedtouch.sourceforge The way the kernel handles the firmware changed with the 2.6.10 kernel. New kernels can load the firmware themselves, older (pre 2.6.10) kernels need to use modem_run to load the firmware. So if you are using SuSE-9.2 or older, please follow the SuSE-9.2 page
To prepare the firmware, so the kernel can load it, you'll need to split it in two with a precompiled copy of the firmware extractor. Good Luck and update us :) ----- Original Message ----- From: Santi Aguirre To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 01, 2005 12:30 AM Subject: [speedtouch] Re: ERROR: Can't determine DISPLAY Ruth, Thank you for your help. You were right. These programs (gcc, etc) were not installed. Following your instructions I was able to install them, and the script was executed, I input my login, password, VPI/VCI, the script starts to run but... a new error: The modem_run command failed (code 235) Modem_run results: Mutex value not OK Any idea?
