Well... if this is the kind of service that i can expect from companies that 'support' saturns (i.e. not just trying to make a $$$), then i'm glad i'm out.
the guys at SRC (or XRC, whatever they are now) had also said they would work up a set for me... with koni inserts. I called a few times, sent a few emails, etc... I basically said "i have the money, i want a good strut setup for autoX". Now when a potential customer calls and says they're ready to drop $1500 on a set of shocks, then if i were them i would sit up and listen and actually respond. I kept emailing and calling and after a while i just got no response anymore. Many other car makes with better aftermarket support also have a much better aftermarket parts dealer network. If i called a bmw, porsche, honda, or mazda shop and told them what i wanted (and they had the availability of parts and can do this work - i'm not saying they should drop everything and run off and custom machine a set of titanium shock housings) they'd have at least tried to figure out what i want, then tell me what they can do, and offer some suggestions as to how they can best meet my needs as a customer (or hell, at least sell me something!). So.. as soon as the sc2 is sold, i start work on getting a 325is to autocross, and assail D-Stock with... Recap: F@#% SPS F@#% SRC F@#% Progress F@#% AEM F@#% Stromung (remember them?) F@#% Energy Suspension Oh yeah... Joey's cool. He can stay. I'll be sure to remember all of this when i pick up a 92SC shell to start building an ITA car out of in a year or so. All of these guys that have acted like assholes or blown off customers and parts suppliers (SPS) wont be getting my business when i *really* start spending money on a saturn (no more playing in the parking lot sandbox with saturns). At least ordering parts and getting things for my RX7 has been really painless, and there's a very good Mazda Rotary shop in the area. One less thing to worry about.
