Like this?: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/dlcupkaw1.htm I still like Keith's shot better and the power he got was obviously more interesting. > Perhaps this was a situation for a wide-angle. Mine was shot about 40mm with a zoom. I'm not sure it works any better wide, but you can see the bridge. We were standing on a highway exit ramp, so... There is some junk in the foreground there with an even wider angle lens. > I also felt the same way about Dave's shot of the MRS switchers. I agree too, but a wide angle would have really looked distorted from that perspective. I had to fix that 50mm shot a little in that regard anyway; it was pinched. That's why I don't like shooting things from that perspective with vertical lines after using view cameras. > I am also curious why Dave didn't frame his down-on SOO Line shot so that more > of the train and some sky were in the photo. I think there was branches in the way of the sky, and the chain-link fence didn't give me much of an angle to work with while the lens was stuck in it. Someone else on this list was there... Keith?... It was a grab shot. > As for Jan Lindahl's stuff, I think that we are very fortunate to have him (and > Urban) on our subscriber list to give us some real diversity. Yes, we are.
