Went out last Saturday to shoot (again!) the 4449 on it's return trip from Wishram. Last year when it made similar trips to Wishram I shot it at the west portal of tunnel 2, just east of Cooks. Unhappy with last year's results (too many people crowded into a limited area for 'the shot.") I got there early to secure the spot I wanted. It worked, I got the shot and surprisingly, I was the only person there! The location is great, but I guess one more shot of the '49 just isn't anywhere close to the top of anyone's list anymore. Aside from the above, there are myriad possibilities all along the north bank of the Columbia in this area. Talking detectors make it pretty easy to keep track of trains too. ======================================================= -> SPORRS: 'Serious Photographers Of Railroad Related Subjects' -> Web Site: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs/ -> Message © 1998 SPORRS® - All Rights Reserved =======================================================
