Todd, There was a company called IPEX (800-463-9572) that came in and did a Lunch and Learn for us a few months back. They fabricated all types of double containment fittings for various piping systems. Depending on the radii of the outer pipe, making the standard fitting fit, was not a problem.
Since the request being made is one that has no specific guidelines, the installation may have to become a little more creative to make the system work. DISCLAIMER: In no way am I condoning compromising the integrity of the fire protection system. My other alternative would be to put in a Hot Box at the Amphitheatre and locate a horizontal dry valve there and be done with it. Sometimes you just have to tell the architect what can and can not be done. Craig L.
