Generally the sediment issue comes up when using raw water sources more so than domestic water services. But we usually used armovers when doing center of tile installations because it was easier to make the hit.
Whenever possible and if the job was big enough we had used the Flex Head or similar type of heads for center of tile installs. Made installation a ton easier when the AE was a stickler for being in the center. Craig L. We have seen too many installations where this has occurred and we were called in to make repairs and told by the Owner to use return bends (armovers) and come off the top of the branch line fitting and never the bottom. The first preference is off the top of the branch, the second is off the side, and the last choice (resort) was off the bottom. It was always made clear to us that the bottom was only to be used if there was no way to use either of the first two preferences. Just inquiring.
