One of my concerns with the house I am looking at (25K, 5 levels, designed like a castle) is that the egress time from this home is significantly greater than a standard house and is the 2 sprinkler demand adequate enough contain a fire and allow occupants to escape. BTW, the water supply is a vertical turbine fire pump taking suction from the moat. - a whole other 55 gallon drum of worms.

I guess that was the point I was trying to make. Is the problem the size of
the home or the very specific hazard we are trying to protect? We haven't
done any homes that large, but we've done 15k s.f. houses with attached
greenhouses, indoor swimming pools, and one with indoor basketball court
(1/2 court only). I am less concerned about the actual size of the house -
more concerned about the proper application of the system for the hazard.
