Joe,
It looks like your density, and remote area match the requirements of
table 1 from 8-30.
There area couple of things I might add to the plans, just to show the
owner/occupant that it's not just a matter of sprinklers and forget it:
1) maintain minimum 36" clearance below the sprinkler to the top of the
storage (2.3.3)
2) maintain 2" to 4" transverse flue space in racks, and 12"
longitudinal for back to back racks (2.3.1)
3) maintain at least 8'-0" clear space for every 100' length of the
racks (2.3.1)
4) if permanent heat and/or smoke vents are present they should be
manually operated only. (2.2.1)
5) sprinklers should be rated at 286 degrees (2.4.2)
6) water supply should be at least 2 hours in duration (2.4.5)
Also, if the K-factor is 11.2, the minimum pressure might be as high as
7.17 psi, based on 100 sq.ft. and .30 gpm/sqft density.
I'm also guessing that you're going to impress upon the owner that the
storage can't exceed 12'-0" above the floor without a review of the
sprinkler system design, and the possible addition of in-rack sprinklers.
