I have always used the rules of 8.6.4.1.4 to apply to any occupancy with this type of roof construction because it is a function of the way heat travels in a roof with this shape.Whether it is a concealed space or occupied with a retail shop,mechanical room,or anything else,the heat is going to travel up the slope in much the same way.IMHO.
