If I remember the series of events. Star had a DPV that they trimmed differently in the 2" size (maybe other sizes also) and called an exhauster. Star then developed another DPV model and kept the old one only in exhauster trim. Tyco bought Star, GEM, and Central and consolidated the different products under GEM. The new Star DPV became the standard DPV (displacing the Blue Bomb or Blue Bummer depending on your preference and the F302, a great valve if you read the how to set-up portion of the cut sheet and a misery if you didn't), and the exhauster stayed the exhauster. Tyco then relabeled everything Tyco and then brought out the DPV-1 and eliminated the Star cum GEM cum Tyco DPV. And now the exhauster is apparently dead also. And somewhere in there, before Star went away, "Tiny Met His Match." I still have the T-Shirt.
