The restrictions are found with the FM/UL listings of the products. Area, as I recall is NOT a factor but distance from head to ceiling (5'-0" MAX) is and it must be LH. They call them burnout/Dropout because of their listings, they will either shrink with the heat (Burnout) and fall out or they will break from the weight of the falling water from a broken sprinkler and then fall out (Dropout). King and Company is the only company that I know that produces this "listed" type of ceiling. Their web site is; http://www.thermo-tile.com
