Hola.

the AtP system works when you have something pumping into your AtP. We
can't just buy an ansul pump and make an AtP system without something *bringing
*the *required *water flowrate to the new AtP unit. and, you would do
your customer a service to put a suction side pressure limiting device in
service, unless you are feeding from a relatively static source...such as a
distant water tower (which is not this case). The reason for the suction
pressure limiting device is, AtP needs a minimum boost pressure across the
pump for the venturi effect to work. So you are looking at a second pump,
the problem being, does your first pump have the capacity?

Check your first pump again (I didn't go to the link, sorry for being that
lazy), and see if at low pressures, if you *can *get the necessary flow
rate required by NFPA 30. If so, then it is OK to use the existing fire
pump to simply dribble the water into your new AtP system, whereby the new
pump can boosted your foam-water mix to the desired pressure *and *proportion
your foam correctly.
