Is it bigger than a breadbox?

Dry chem. Is typically reserved for protecting areas inside equipment. Not
occupied or potentially occupied spaces.

For large areas there are so many problems with keeping the area tight to
contain gas such as FM-200 that it would be virtually impossible. Also gas
systems aren't going to suitable for every commodity. And lastly, if the Codes
require sprinkler protection, most AHJ's aren't going to go along with a gas
only system as primary.

So the questions arises as to why do you want to use gas instead of sprinklers?

Subject: Extra Hazard storage

Can an extra hazard storage facility be protected by a gas system or dry
chemical system?
