There really is no locate per NFPA 13. You still have max of 40/80, 4 way at change in direction and laterals no more than 6' from end of cross main. But, with all of the other requirements in chapter 9, you must calculate the bracing spacing.
I consider it just like pipe sizing calcs any more.
