I may have let my frustration of the timing of the request at the permit
stage spill over a bit :)

While I do see his reasoning and agree that this is a legit concern, the
fact that FRT is being used indicates that the intent was never to provide
sprinklers in the attic

There aren't even any attic access points located in the ceilings. The
students would literally have to cut a hole and climb up through the
drywall to get up there.

Just another day at the office!
