Even if you push back as Travis suggested, the following can help you keep your tools sharp.
Go here: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/hazards/designmaps/usdesign.php And click "Use the Application". Input the design code and soil classification. For the lat/long coordinates, use the map to zero in on the site. The map tells you the decimal degrees for each. Add a "-" before the longitudinal degrees. Click "Compute Values". It produces pretty slick summary and detailed reports. J. I've been using (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/hazards/designmaps/) but recently it won't input the coordinates based on the city and state anymore. I used to use one that worked based on zip code but that doesn't work anymore either. Maybe it's a computer setting? Brian Harris, CET BVS Systems Inc.
